155th Anniversary of the Gettysburg Address

On November 19, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln delivered a speech as he dedicated a cemetery to Union soldiers killed at the Battle of Gettysburg. The words uttered on that ground made the speech one of the most important moments in American history. Explore transcripts, original documents, online exhibits, and a video narrated by USAGov's Nancy Tyler, 155 years after Honest Abe's most iconic speech.
